Pace offer a range of different short break services for children with disabilities.

Overnight Adventures

  • - Our “Overnight Adventures” offer a service for children with complex needs and their siblings to stay overnight at our play centre in Fortune Green.
  • - Sessions provide parents with 24 hours of respite over the course of a weekend
  • - We offer children the chance to engage in exciting and adventurous sensory and natural play activities with their peers whilst staying with us.
  • - The service is delivered by a team of highly skilled professionals with many years’ experience of working with children with disabilities
  • - Sessions are tailor-made to suit the needs and preferences of our service users.
  • - We work closely with parents to establish the individual needs of our users and build strong relationships in order to help them feel confident to leave their children in our care overnight.
  • - For many of the children accessing the service, it is the first time they have spent the night away from home and family.
  • - We offer “taster sessions” so that families can meet the staff on-site and gain information about how the service works before committing to a full Overnight Adventure.
  • - Activities include: Sensory play, woodwork, kite making and flying, night time torch walks, storytelling and much more.

Times

  • 10 sessions per year
  • Saturday’s 11am – Sunday’s 11am
